An Archipelago of 115 islands in the western Indian Ocean, northwest of Madagascar. This group of small islands covers an area of 455 sq km. The biggest one is Mahe (144 sq km) which is granite. The population is around 80,000. The legal system is based on English Common Law and French Civil Law.
